Awakening Africa

A production company focused upon changing the way the world sees Africa through mediums like art, film and media has just launched. Set up by Zina Saro-Wiwa, AfricaLab believes that culture can form a central role in helping develop Africa through communicating fresh narratives about the continent away from the heavily reported civil wars and epidemics that have hindered its growth. Their first major project is a fantastic documentary called ‘This Is My Africa‘.

paul insect – wire hands

Dancing Turtle HQ recently took delivery of a couple of limited edition prints from British artist Paul Insect. Having designed the cover of DJ Shadow’s last album, this up and coming British artist has seen his stock rise in recent months, including having an entire collection of his works snapped by Damien Hirst. One to watch…
